Volunteer
There are a number of ways in which you can support FMY as a volunteer:-
Parenting Courses
We regularly train new parenting facilitators to work along side our qualified staff to run courses. If you are interested in this we recommend that you attend one of our parenting courses or arrange to host one in your community to find out what is involved.
Couples Courses
If you are interested in running any of our courses in your community or church we can offer support and advice to get you started
Couples in Crisis:
Could you be a support couple to help a couple struggling in their relationship? This would mean doing some training – 4 evening sessions over 4 months and one weekend.
Prison Couple Workshops
FMY works in association with Time for Families ( a national charity) to deliver whole day workshops in prisons for offenders and their partners. The workshops cover couple relationship skills, handling parenting issues together and handling money issues together. We aim to offer hope that prisoners can build stronger families during their sentence and return to their families on release.
We need new volunteers to help deliver the workshops who could be available for a full day on a regular basis. Full training is given and volunteers will be part of a team. Expenses are paid and travel is usually provided.
Money Matters
Our free Personal Budget Coaching Service is run by trained volunteers. Contact the FMY office if you are interested in training or in arranging a seminar or course in your community , college or workplace
